An 18-year-old Auckland model, Collette Lochore, was tonight crowned as Miss World New Zealand. The model, actor and dancer is from the North Shore.
She was crowned ahead of 11 other contestants at a ceremony in Auckland.
Lochore says she is also involved in drama and speech, teaching hundreds of children in theatre and works with disadvantaged children in confidence developing.
Lochore will represent New Zealand at the Miss World competition to be held in Ordos in China's Inner Mongolia.

First runner-up Gloria Gofa Blake was crowned Miss Earth New Zealand 2012 and will represent the country in Miss Earth 2102 pageant to be held in Vietnam later this year.
